Safety Information

Every attempt is made to ensure the safety of swimmers when participating in club activities; for instance swim spots are chosen where there are no known underwater hazards. However it is important to remember that there are risks associated with open water swimming especially in cold water.  It is therefore important that everyone takes responsibility for their own welfare and, whilst they are not responsible for anyone other than themselves, should make every reasonable attempt to consider the safety of their fellow swimmers.

All swimmers take part in activities wholly at their own risk and therefore sensible precautions must be taken such as the use of tow floats, visible swim caps (the club one is bright pink and highly desirable!) and appropriate swimwear.
